17th NCBEE
As a highlight of the HEUQUALITY project’s conclusion, Magda had the opportunity to present the study Heuristics and Signals: Experimental Evidence on Information and Wage Discrimination at the 17th Nordic Conference in Behavioral and Experimental Economics.
In the presented study, we examined how access to individual productivity information influences wage allocation decisions— and whether it helps to reduce gender-based statistical discrimination. Our findings show that performance-based data can indeed mitigate misallocation, though the effect varies depending on the task type.
